The strike of Karachi-Quetta bound coaches, against the shifting of bus-termini outside Quetta city, perturbed a large number of passengers as they were stuck off in Karachi and Quetta.

About 80 air-conditioned 52seater coaches ply daily from Karachi to Quetta but none of them left for Quetta on Monday. Because of strike more than 8000 passengers had been stuck off in both cities, facing lot of troubles.

All advance booking had been cancelled and the passengers were being returned their money, the transport offices in Karachi told PPI.

A booking clerk of Al-Yousuf coach service told that all the coaches were parked in Quetta and they had not a single coach in Karachi. "We do not know how long the strike would continue", he added.

Any of the office bearer of Sindh-Balochistan Transport Owners' Association were not available in Karachi to provide any information to the people, while the passengers were wandering along with their luggage helplessly at the coaches' terminals.
